The project goal is the implementation of the modern master study program that enables education of the specialists in the field of digital broadcasting and broadband technology, a study profile in line with the needs of labor market and upcoming transfer from analogue to digital broadcasting in regional partner countries.

University of Banja Luka has already prepared the book of curriculum which is in final stages of accreditation process. Activities on setting up a laboratory for DBBT study program have also begun, and the cooperation with several partners from business, namely Communication Regulatory Agency, RT-RK Institute and ATV, has been established.

Graduated students would be capable to apply acquired knowledge in the business in order to speed up the digitization of broadcast services. Graduated students will also be capable to implement and maintain modern and improve existing broadcast and broadband communication systems.

The education of experts would improve existing state in the area of digital technologies (particularly in digitizing of radio and TV and improving the multimedia broadband services) in Western Balkans countries in accordance with the principles of EU best practice. The mentioned project objectives would have positive impact on the current situation in the field of digital communications technologies in Bosnia and Herzegovina through the mandatory digitization of broadcast services according to the standards established by competent international organizations and also adopted by the EU. The development of digital communications technologies would be followed by activation of other business entities in the Western Balkans.

The activities graduated students will be able to perform are: development of the multimedia applications on smart phones and tablets, applications for smart TV, modeling of IP and wireless networks and wave propagation, etc.
